Devoted, Loyal, and Intelligent--these three words define the character of the Golden Retriever! These great family dogs are adaptable and lovable. Originally bred as Scottish hunting dogs, this breed loves being outdoors and will play for hours. Today goldens are still often working as a therapy or guide dog. They also enjoy participating in obedience and competitive events.
